THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF SINGER-SONGWRITER LORNA VALLINGS
Lorna Vallings is an independent recording artist based in Toronto, Ontario.
A talented singer-songwriter, she has songs featured in major motion
pictures - the title track to her CD Taste is featured on the soundtrack
to Universal Studios' The Skulls (2000). Also from the album Taste, is
the song "You Fascinate Me" which was featured in the Swiss film,
Dead by Monday (2001) which was filmed on location in Canada.
Recorded in 1998, her CD, Taste has been officially released through her Web
site the summer of 2001. Hot on its heels, was If Wishes Were
Horses, - a more subdued folk-rock album - which was released at a multimedia event on June 22, 2002.
The pace undaunted, If Wishes Were Horses, was followed by a lush album, Confidential (Nov. 2003), that revisits
Lorna Vallings's rock roots. Confidential features a range of styles that includes everything from a sexy,
rhythmic R&B pop tune (Everything), to a big-production rock anthem (No Angels)
and an epic ballad (The Chronicle).
African born, raised in Australia and living in Canada, Lorna Vallings is a popular
performer and independent musician who stood out on the indie scene in Australia and
has carved her niche in the indie scene of her new home town -- Toronto, Ontario. |
