Historical Gooderham & Worts Distillery Complex

An all-ages multi-media CD release event for If Wishes Were Horses is scheduled for Saturday, June 22nd, 2002 in Toronto. It will be held at the malt house of the historical Gooderham & Worts Distillery Complex, 55 Mill Street, just east of Parliament. The event will run from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with food and beverages provided.
The Gooderham & Worts Distillery is Canada's oldest distillery. No longer in use, the complex features the best examples of Victorian industrial architecture. Parts of Gooderham & Worts were used as one of the locations for the Universal Pictures' movie The Skulls, which features Lorna's song "Taste", and for the Oscar-winning film Chicago.

The all-ages event will also feature an exhibit local visual artists, Pascal Paquette (courtesy of the Artcore Gallery), and Deirdre Hughes, a string quartet, and a lighting design by Dereck Porter. Lorna will be playing songs from her new release as well as from her up-and-coming CD Confidential.

The event will be catered with fine desserts, cheeses from a local cheeserie, and an oyster bar from Toronto's best, Rodney's Oyster bar, and the participation of some of the Niagara Region's most renowned wineries.

Tickets for the music performance go on sale June 1, 2002 and can be purchased on-line (CLICK HERE) or at the following locations:
  • Penguin Music, 2 McCaul St. (near CityTV)
  • This Ain't the Rosedale Library, 483 Church St.
  • Risqué, 404 Bloor St. (near Brunswick St.)
